Marine Biology Field Tripmrs. Mac's Classes

Marine Biology, M.S. The Department of Marine Biology offers a Marine Biology graduate program with a Master of Science and a PhD option. Courses in this program are taught by some of the best faculty and researchers around and equip our students for exhilarating careers in academia and beyond. Delaware is a coastal state with no part of it more than 8 miles from tidal waters. While the marine science bachelor's program is on UD's main campus in Newark, our students have full access to our campus on the coast in Lewes through field trips, semester-long programs and cruises aboard our research ships, and virtually through distance technology facilities.

Give your students a marine science field trip experience that will enrich their lives and encourage them to develop a personal love and appreciation for the environment through hands-on personal interaction in the field!

  1. Unless otherwise stated, the minimum acceptable grade in all Marine Biology required courses, including the common prerequisite and supporting courses math, is a C- or higher. 3. Going on a field trip to the Solomon Islands for one of her courses confirmed that studying marine biology was the right choice, Tanayaz says. Great graduates Dannie Cullen Professional Environmental Scientist, AECOM Bachelor of Science Bachelor of Science (Honours) She has always been fascinated by the ocean, says AUT sciences alumna Dannie.

Our programs emphasize both the principles and methods of good field science, as well as character building and personal development in youth. Your students learn to think like actual field scientist as they keep a field journal through the entire program, learning to apply the scientific method to develop their own hypotheses and theories about the natural world.

We have many different venue and program options for you to chose from, bring your class to Catalina Island, for an overnight adventure on board our floating sea camp the Enhydra, or one of our other locations around the Southland.
