all that being said a number of users I support noticed CC was generally slower than CS6 so before you update on both ends and blame the OS you should get some opinions over at the Adobe forums to see if what they told me holds true - and FWIW I keep these systems as stock as they can be.
I tend to avoid sites like 'Roaring Apps' when making an assessment especially when they contradict the developers of the products they are making claims to. Many review sites have no credibility in which to support any claims made by their user base, they are a free-for-all from users who may or may not be testing anything and may not test past a splash screen. Take any of their claims with a grain of salt.
